As a person doing research in immersive virtual environments, virtual reality and gamification for authentic learning, all current buzz words, I wholeheartedly support the Manifesto. The seduction of the Sirens of emerging digital technologies is strong. Sometimes so, that it is blurring what is valid research, and do we even need it to determine if and how such technologies are good for learning, in what situations, and with what sort of processes.
